Macanao

Lonely Beaches

The smaller of the two parts of Margarita is called Macanao. It is not nearly as populated as the other half and has many undeveloped coastal areas, many beautiful, untouched beaches. Some of these are excellent for kiteboarding. Here too, you find some nice ocean swell and the wind blows slightly onshorely.
Only for advanced kiteboarders accompanied by one of our instructors
Best times: when it gets windy in El Yaque (>20knots)
Typical kite sizes for 176lbs/80kg: 16m2to 12m2
Daytrip with bus or Jeep, transfer ca. 50 minutes.
Also possible in combination with a boat trip between the Mangroves of the Nationalparks La Restinga, a visit to the Marine Museum or a beach party.
